'Eric,
Thank you for emailing pictures of our new landscape. The photos looked wonderful and we are very appreciative of your foresight in sending the email, as my wife has not seen the cabin since we started the landscaping project. She absolutely loved everything.
As we near the completion of our dream home, I wanted to take the time to express my sincere gratitude for the great job that you and your team have performed. You have met and exceeded all of our expectations and goals set forth for our dream get away. Your professionalism, hard work and attention to detail have many of our friends and family in awe when they visit our home. Not to mention us as well, I cannot thank you enough.
I hope working with my wife and I was an enjoyable experience for you as well. I believe you are a perfect fit for our family project. You should be very proud of the job that you have accomplished and I would recommend you to anyone who is looking to build his or her dream home, weekend get away or anything else for that matter.
I cannot wait to raise our three daughters’ in this home. I can already see them getting married on the lake as they walk down the stairs that you installed. These will be the memories that will last a lifetime and for generations to come.
Thanks again.'

'Eric,
I find it a rare occasion to be compelled to sit down and write a letter praising any service that I have received. However, your performance in building the Three Bear Lodge is one of those times. As you know, building an authentic large log structure is a special challenge and when it was coupled with my desire to build a legacy that would transcend my lifetime, the challenge is multiplied by a few factors.
When I was in the investigation stage of fulfilling my dream, I was troubled with the lack of contractors that had real experience with building a full log home. The common response that I would receive upon interviewing potential builders for this project was “It shouldn’t be that difficult” or “I have one of them under my belt” or just plain “I have no interest in building one of those things”. This is when it became very apparent that I was dealing with a very specialized structure and I better pick the right builder or certainly I would be living with unwanted consequences.
After quite a number of contractor interviews, I had narrowed my search down to a well respected contractor in the Traverse City area. However, I wasn’t feeling 100% confident that he was committed to my project. While, he had built one log home before, I felt more like my house was a fill in job, rather than feeling his enthusiasm to take on this difficult challenge. Fortunately for me, I became aware of a friend that was building his dream home on a lake in Lewiston. When I gave him a call and asked who his builder was, his response was interesting, “Eric Render, but don’t let his age fool you, this kid is really good, with a lot of experience in building full log homes.
After a number of sit down meetings with you, I became comfortable that there was a lot of capability and experience behind that baby face. However, one struggle that both of us had, was the 70 miles between your home and my job site. In hindsight, you probably wonder why you took a job so far from your home, but from a customers point of view I didn’t experience any inconvenience.
During the construction period, from the fall of 2005 to the summer of 2006 my decision of hiring you proved to be great one. I found you to be knowledgeable about every aspect of construction, with a “can do” attitude and a wonderful commitment to quality. Eric, on behalf of my wife Kirsten and our three children, thank you for all of your efforts in fulfilling my dream of building the Three Bear Lodge.
Sincerely,
Michael Belanger
'Eric,
Five years ago my husband and I began planning our dream home to be nestled on a section of land in Gaylord, Michigan. We purchased the property in 2003 and in early 2006 we began the task of putting together a team to assist us with our project. Through an old friend I was introduced to Eric Render of Render Construction. I began conversing with him about our project and his initial enthusiasm and eagerness to become involved was very welcomed. After countless conversations and careful consideration we brought Render Construction on board.
Upon breaking ground in July of 2006, it was not long before Eric Render and his team began erecting this 10,000 square foot plus log and timber structure that would eventually become everything we imagined and more. With log elements, that were both structural and cosmetic, and extremely unique engineering aspects, Render Construction rose to the challenge and completed the task at hand without faltering.
We consistently found Eric to be motivated and eager to stay on task during this project. He was always very approachable and helpful as issues arose that required attention. His team of contractors were always pleasant and focused as they carried out this task through some pretty challenging weather conditions. Through the snow and ice, below zero temps, wind, and rain, his team provided us with unrelenting dedication and commitment to our project.
From the first hand shake with Eric Render to the last bit of work performed, I found the experience to be very positive. Eric Render, along with his team of contractors, were a very big part in helping our family’s dream become reality. We would not hesitate to recommend Eric Render and Render Construction to become involved in any construction project. I am proud to say that in the end we have a beautiful home and a new friend.
Sincerely,
Kevin and Darce Johnson
